Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity, filled with community support, good food, and a dash of trial prep. It was one of those days that perfectly blended giving back with personal milestones—here’s a recap of how it all unfolded.

Supporting Law Enforcement United – Pennsylvania Division

The day kicked off at Temple Fire Co Social Quarters, where I joined Trish Schappell Wertz to support Law Enforcement United – Pennsylvania Division. This organization does incredible work honoring and aiding law enforcement officers and their families, and it was an honor to be part of their efforts. We tried our luck at bingo—sadly, no big wins there—but the real victory came when we scored an amazing beach basket in a raffle. The prize might just be the perfect excuse for a future getaway! The event was a great reminder of the power of community and the importance of standing behind those who serve.

2025 Wilson Iron Chef Competition & Benefit Auction

Next up, I headed to the 2025 Wilson Iron Chef Competition & Benefit Auction, an event that brought together culinary creativity and a worthy cause. Hosted to benefit the Wilson Education Foundation (WEF), the evening was all about supporting students in the Wilson School District. WEF focuses on enhancing student experiences, promoting teaching excellence, and fostering community engagement—goals that truly resonate. Watching talented chefs battle it out while enjoying some delicious bites made for a fun and inspiring time. Plus, the auction added an extra layer of excitement, all in the name of education. It was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon and contribute to a brighter future for local students.

A Day of Community, Giving, and Preparation

Gearing Up for Trial

After a day of community events, it was time to switch gears. The evening wrapped up with final preparations for a trial set for tomorrow, March 31, 2025. With notes to review and strategies to solidify, it was a shift from the day’s festivities to the focused mindset needed for the courtroom. Busy days like this are a balancing act, but they’re also a reminder of how diverse and rewarding life can be when you mix passion, purpose, and a little hard work.

Reflections on a Full Day

From supporting law enforcement to cheering on education initiatives, yesterday was a testament to the strength of community involvement. Winning that beach basket was a fun bonus, but the real reward was being part of efforts that make a difference. Now, with trial prep checked off the list, I’m ready to tackle tomorrow. Here’s to keeping the momentum going—both in and out of the courtroom!
